I'm pretty sure I have a spaghetti worm in my new nano tank. I see a few pinkish thin tentacles popping out of holes in my rocks and they retract when i shine a light on them. Are these harmless? If not, how can I get rid of them?

Could be mini brittle stars which are good. If you check out the hitch hicker guide on lionfishlair.com you may be able to id it.

Great site! Found other hitch hikers I have. But what I have is definitely not a star. The tentacles are really long and they extend along the rock and retract.

Sounds like bristleworms. You're fine.

Yeah if they are fuzzy looking it is bristleworms. Good janitors.

The little stars I have only stick their legs out and look like worms.

Check your live rock squats where you see tentacles.

They're smooth pinkish tentacles... Sometimes they'll wrap around the rock and then retract when I shine a light. After a bit of searching I'm pretty sure it's a spaghetti worm. I was told they're also good janitors :)
