Hi All

I just made some Ca using Randy's 2 part recipe, found here. (http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-02/rhf/index.php#16) I used Kent Turbo-Calcium (Calcium Chloride Anhydrous). The recipe says to use 500g of calcium chloride dihydrate. If using Calcium Chloride Anhydrous it says to use 1/5 less ie 400g. However I used 500g.

Is the mixture still ok? Can I just dose less of it or is the whole balance now kaput?

Just add the proportionate amount of water. You can also dose less. Either way you will need to monitor your tank's ca consumption for a few days and tune the dosage quantity.
