can anyone please tell me what this is? Came on a piece of rock I bought and I'm not that sure what it is.... At first I thought it was some type of mushroom but now I'm second guessing myself and saying some type of anemone? I have no idea.

WOW SWEET!!!! And everything that article says about them being hardy is true that piece of Rick was out of water for a solid prob 4 hours... Wonder if there is anyway to enrich the color on this guy a little bit. Thanks for the help guys! Anyone else have any insight on these?

Yep, maxi-mini anemone. That is an extremely nice hitch-hiker. I had one in an old tank I broke down. Maxi-minis usually range in price from $30-$100. The anemone will need good light and a good source of flow. Also, make sure to spot feed it when you feed the tank. I always gave my maxi-mini a little treat every time I fed the tank.

I fed him a piece of krill yesterday thing sucked it up like nothing

You don't need to feed them. They do fine with just light. I have about a dozen and I've had them over 2 years and never feed them other than what they pick up when I feed the tank.

What kind of lighting do you have on your tank and what level do you have them in your tank? Yours have great color
