I started a tank 2 weeks ago and it's s cycling. But this is the first time I've seen this thing. Anyone know what it is? Is it good it bad?

You are all awesome. Thank you! Do you think it will survive the rest of the cycle? I have no clue how much longer it will take. I had 17lbs dry rock in here with only 5lbs live.

Hope it lives then!

depends on the ammonia levels, it will be hard to say for sure.
