Since meetings are typically on Sundays, I think we should do a meeting at Bowlorama on the Berlin Turnpike. We can have a quick meeting, and then bowl a few games on a Sunday night. It's a lot of fun and it's usually about half price ($2.50/game). Just a fun little thought.....

Lol- im trying to get mother to let me start a 55 in the living room under the tv
(I got it all planed- basement sump, animal over flow, led's).

Mike,

I would advise against the 55 gallon, IMO it is way to narrow for any sort of good aqauascape and generally just a pain. Let me know if you need help convincing Mom of bumping up and extra 20 gallons to get that extra depth. It really makes a huge difference. Hopefully space is not an issue.

The bod has decided to not hold a meeting for the month of August. We plan on scheduling a meeting for September.


I do have a suggestion for the membership. I have seen members of other clubs post announcements for non club sanctioned "social events". Activities like meeting up for cocktails, dinner at restaurants, etc etc.... Why not invite some reef friends next time your going out? Perhaps a few reefers will show up and turn it into a reefy party. This could be done anywhere and anytime. It doesn't necessarily have to involve a restaurant. A day at the park, pond, racetrack, bowling alley might be enjoyed by others.

Capt and I go bowling every Sunday night at bowlorama on the berlin turnpike. It's 2.50/game, which is about half price. We usually get there about 630-7ish and bowl for a while. Anyone is more than welcome to join us.....I can also try and arrange an actual CTARS bowling event on a different day if Sunday is not good for you guys.

That sounds like fun. I don't think I've been to Bowl O Rama since the late 80s.
