My buddy has been dragging his feet terrible with putting together a build thread so I'm grabbing the bull by the horns here and posting it for him. I will list the basics in hopes he chimes in.

Standard 90 gallon tank
30 Gallon Sump with refugium
6 Bulb Tek Light, 5 B+'s and 1 Coral+
2 Koralia Evo 1400
AquaMaxx Protein Skimmer
Mag 9.5 Return Pump

Very nice! How true to life is the color rendition in the photo? I ask because, I also run a 6 bulb combo, but instead of the coral+ I run a GE 6500k. I do like the color I'm getting, but this combo looks nice as well. Corals look great, nice mix.

The colors are super accurate, people may not believe me, but I am gluuuuuued to this tank everytime I go over. I am about to switch my bulbs out for this combo, he gets incredible growth.

I know some will argue that the SPS are on the easier side, but everything in there grows like weeds, and thats all that matters. I am truly jealous of his tank

I've never cared about the latest and greatest SPS, or what's hot at the moment, or even about the hardest to keep vs. easiest. If a tank looks good, it looks good. IMO some of the easiest corals are the most beautiful (and BTW, when some of these so called easy corals first came out for sale, they weren't considered that easy). I've always been into SPS for their growth patterns and color. If I like it, and think it will fit into what I'm trying to create, I don't care if it's difficult or easy. I'll try it to see if I can get it to thrive. Oh, and I think I will try this bulb combo to see if I like it.

I'm right there with you, I will be making my bulb switch soon, just not sure if i should do two 2 coral+ since i have 8 bulbs vs 6.
