So I have a tank with 10k 250w mh's over it. Obviously this is alittle to white/yellow for me alone. So I've decided to suppliment with 2- 24 led strips totaling 48 LEDs. If my goal is to get a nice blueish violet color, what combination of royal blue, blue, and red should I use?

What is the tank size? I use 2 red, 2 UV, and an even split between Royal blue and blue for the rest on mine. That's over a 40B. The UV isn't really necessary but it does help get the violet to come out more without a lot of tweaking to get the color temp you want. Plus the coloration of the corals really comes out with the UV.

It's a 75g standard 48". UV has been a serious consideration but I've heard it takes a lot to get any kind of noticeable effect. If I where to throw red into it, the only practical way I can see doing it is like two in the back 48" strip so I didn't have a single red spotlight. Do u think that's work? Do you think that'd be too much red?

I have 24 leds from them over my 29 gallon and i have it dimmed to about 15K maybe not "windex" blue but a tint of blue and i did ratio of 14 RB 10 CW. Im not sure the reds are needed but if you did add them you could add UV as well

the rapid led staff say most people do a 1:1 ratio or 2:1 RB to CW

Well I assume they use the cw LEDs when used as a main light source. I have 250w 10ks over my tank already so the white is more then covered. I want these purely for actinic suppliment/ visual purposes only.
