I have a luxcore ballast that is plugged into a power strip. When I turn the strip on by flipping the switch on the strip, the bulb doesn't always fire. To get it to start, the strip needs to be on, then the ballast plugged in.
This is my first electronic ballast. Is this normal? I've tried this on one of the better belkin strips, and also on an APC surge/battery backup, and it happens on both. In fact, it never starts on the APC, and about 50/50 on the belkin. Is the ballast bad, or does it have something to do with the surge protection on the strip?
