Hello,

My Vortech shut down last night. Worked perfectly thus far, but now it shows cycling lights. I removed, cleaned and disassembled it to see what could be wrong and put it back in. It ran for awhile and then shut down and gave the same error. It seems a wet-side problem, as the dry side will run when I hold it in my hand. Now I took the wet-side out again and it seems the propeller is stuck. I can turn it manually, but there is resistance and I assume the pump blocks because of it (you can actually hear the motor trying to start the rotor a couple of time before it shows the lights). Also, when I now try to open the wet-side, I need to apply a lot of force.

Can somebody here help me out?

Thanks!
Martijn

Martijn,

I recommend following the steps in the video to properly disassemble and clean the wetside. This will correct the issue you! http://ecotechmarine.com/media-gallery/video/gen-2-wet-side-disassembly-2/

Check page 40 of the MP-40 full manual (http://ecotechmarine.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/FULLMANUAL_Revision1.2.pdf) to see which error code you are getting.

In the meantime, I would disassemble the wet side and do a soak in a vinegar solution for a few hours. Check to see if there are signs of the magnet rubbing against anything else.
