Ok, I want to relocate some large (20" tall) monti caps, without destroying them. Thinking I could dremel the bottoms using this.

Does current flow through the flex-shaft? Would I risk severe shock or worse?

Anything in the cable bad for the inhabitants?

No current does not flow through the shaft. You just stick it on the end of the dremel. however the flexible shaft does have lubricating grease inside of it. I have one, and would not use it in my tank. If the grease didnt contaminate the tank, the saltwater would ruin the shaft.

I know the shaft would be toast. Worth it to me. But worried about the lubrication...
