Are you saying we should agree on a set price and not go over it so we can win sps of our choice for pennies on the dollar?
Wow that's something new.

Lol. Work together in an auction? What kind of auction is that?

Uh, that's kind of unfair, shady, and possibly against the rules. If you did that on a poker table, you'd get dragged out back and roughed up......and would deserve it too, LOL!

There isn't working together in this hobby in my eyes lol. Only few do, otherwise greed takes over! Pics of what you're bidding on?

Did you mean everybody else should back off, so you could win for half the price you ended up paying???.

Even if this idea wasn't against eBay's policies (which I'm sure it is), this would last for what, a handful of auctions before sellers stopped bothering with eBay?

If i sell something locally for $40 and I list it on eBay and get $37, the process is relatively worth it if I end up selling more stuff.

If I list it on eBay and it starts selling for $7 I will stop selling there.

Capitalism just sort of works itself out that way....lol.

I'd be surprised if there were an actually ebay policy on this. LOL It just doesn't happen because it really can't work.

I suggest auctionsniper if you want to win cheaper auctions, stop driving the price up throughout the whole listing. Let the others think they have it won for a dollar, and the BAM you snipe it at the last second.

The seller can just have a private account & bid to keep pieces from going too cheap. You won't get something nice for nothing. But deff better than market or lfs store price.

You guys are acting like this is a crazy thought. In my other hobbies, my online group of friends try not to bid against each other.

Some of the other bidders may be on here but NO way are all of them, if it ain't worth the $$$ don't bid on it, if you really like it you'll sell your car or something. If you can't run with the big dogs just stay on the porch.

Besides, it's best that "coral frags" produced by chop-shops get bid into the stratosphere on e-bay and other sources.

Extremely high prices for things like "Lightning Maroon" clownfish and "limited edition" corals on e-bay ensures that those that wish to spend their money on such things are appropriately punished in monetary terms for the "look what I've got and you don't" tendency of human behavior. And, it ensures that PT Barnum's rather famous quote about suckers remains true though out the ages. ;) :p

Yeah, the next time there is an insane crazy colored acro on eBay, nobody bid, except me! O.K.?
