I saved a Maroon Clown from a local bar that was closing its doors.. My question is could I add him to the DT in a 100 gallon tank.. I already have 2 small clowns in there and I'm just wondering what you guys think. He is in my sump at the moment.. The maroon is around 3 years old and is 3 times the size as the other 2 clowns. Thanks for the time..

Do the other clowns look like they've already paired up? Are they Maroon clowns or something else? I probably wouldn't add the large Maroon for the sake of your two other clowns.

They are Ocellaris Clownfish and the seem to have paired up. He is such a pretty fish and would look amazing in my display but I think you may be right..

How big is it? Maroons are not the kindest fish in the sandbox.. if you mix them be careful, keep an eye on it.

I wouldn't trust it, maroons are mean and will prob. go to town on the others.

I wouldn't do it as it won't endup well for your ocellaris pair

My maroon was about 2 inches and chase most my other fish OUT of the tank.. They are pretty but you don't want to find your pair on the floor.

I wouldn't do it because it won't end up well for you. I just got rid of mind because I was tired of him attaching my wrist and arm every time I had to work in the tank. He hits it really hard and though he never broke the skin, I can't tell you how many times it made me jerk my wrist and mess up the coral or rock work.

Nasty fish
