Hi all
I'm planning to move my SPS tank which has a DSB. The tank has been running for roughly 3 months now since May.
Do you think it's safe to move and reuse the DSB since its been less than 6 month? Thanks in advance for input

I never reuse sand.

Any chance you can move the tank without disrupting the sandbed? If not, you would have to recycle your system or start with new cured/cycled sand

I also never reuse sand but like reefer54 said if the tank is small enough just try to move the tank without disturbing the sandbed.

I'm actually going buy a new tank bc it hard plumbed and I'm unable to move it as one. I've heard that if the DSB is less than 6 months old, it's possible to remove and be reused as long as its kept submerged in water when moving. Its only been up for 3 months and has been fishless due to an ich issue.
