I have a 220 mixed reef system with some unwanted RTB's. :frog:
Does anyone have any tricks on getting them to move off rocks so they will be easier to take out and give them away?
I started with one RTB and it has spit 10 times and I need to get them out, most are attached to the base rock that can't be moved.

If not what is best way to kill them?:deadhorse1:

Thanks for any input.

I believe he means RBTA's. You can use a partner to agitate them to move, or some have had success using an ice cube on their foot. Good luck.

Take your rock out of your tank. up side down the head of RBTA's under water little the leg out off water , about 5 min they automatic come off your rock.

you can try the ice cube thing if you can get to the foot or try directing a power head directly at each one (one at a time) ....10 is a lot to remove so have patience and good luck. ...

I had luck with taking a piece of pvc a little bigger in diameter than the RBTA, place it over the BTA so it is inside the tube. have the top of the tube in the light... the BTA will climb inside the tube to the light. may take several hours to a day.
