just bought this nice blue spot squamosa. still not opening well though..

i just wanna confirm its a squamosa right? how rare are the blue spot forms anyway?

yep that's a squamosal. They are very nice.I got one and its doing great . over a year now.

Blue spots are fairly common. He should extend mantle a lot more. Probably still acclimating.

how is the clam doing now? The blue spots are common in certain areas and of course there are totally blue squamosas that are very uncommon in the trade

Yes, it's a squamosa. That one is probably from a Marshall Island farm which many of them have blue spots, but nice nonetheless.
