I bought a rio 1700 (642GPH) 2.5 Years ago for a algae scrubber. It Is pushing water at least 4 feet over the tank so the flow is restricted. My question is over the last several months the water level in the scrubber bucket has slowly reduced from 4 notches down to 2 notches. I tried cleaning the powerhead the flow returned to 3 notches but after a week dropped below 2.5 notches so it's not putting out like it use too. Is this because of a weak propeller or are the windings in the powerhead going bad?
