Sometimes EXTRA flow on it will cause it to move.

The best thing I have used is LACK OF LIGHT. Set it up so that the light is off to the far edge, but within reach of the tentacles. It will sense it and start the move.

Ice cube to the foot...or better yet just cold water as it is more gentle. Cold saltwater

Flow right at it. It'll start to move and you can carefully pry it off. Just did this 2 days ago and it's splitting again. GBTA

I just point a power head right at them. They will start moving after a while. Mine take about a day.

I second Matt's comment, powerhead pointed at works like a charm.

I have had to move nem's off rocks numberous times.. easiest thing to do is take the rock out of the water hang the nem upside down over a bowl of water.. they fall off in 5 - 15 mins. I had 1 nem took 20+ mins.

The problem with doing the out of water trick is they are 90% water. They can not hold their self outside of water. This can result in tears and damage to the nem.

Does the out of water trick work on maxi minis? I tried unsuccessfully for hours to get one to come off a rock. I held it over water with the tip in the bucket. It stretched to touch the water so I moved it higher, and higher. After a hour outside of water I gave up. I would like to try again.

Thoughts?
