I used to have beautiful carpets of zoas. I switched from a DSB to a barebottom at the same time I went to LEDs from compact fluorescents. Slowly over the last three years they have dwindled away to nothing. This is has happened while my mushrooms have dwindled and my ricordea have disappeared.
The LEDs are older and they have narrow wave lengths. Ive gotten strange results like red montiporra growing like weeds and green montiporra barely limping along. Tank contains healthy candy canes, yellow polyps, green button polyps, crusting and plate montiporra, leather mushroom, green star polyps and acans.
Has anyone seen this before ? Is anyone having good results with LEDs ? If so what kind ?
