So my tank has been up for a few months now, and recently my tank is being over run by this brown stuff that has bubbles all over it. I'm almost definite that it is not bubble algae as it is not green like i have seen in other pictures.

I realized i was feeding too much and have quickly reduced those feedings to every other day.

I've been battling with my phosphates for some time. I think i didn't cook my BRS Dry Pukani rock long enough. I have a skimmer and a reactor using Phosban. It's tough to get my phosphates below .15 (hanna checker). All my other parameters are in check. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Ammonia - 0 ppm
Nitrates - < 5 ppm
Nitrite - 0 ppm
Ph - 8.45 (as of right now)
phosphate - .15 (trying to lower it)
Calcium - 430ppm
Alkalinity - 7.56 dkh
Mag - 1260ppm

Are you sure it isn't more of a reddish tint? It looks like Cyanobacteria.

I guess you can say it is a reddish brown. It comes off pretty easy if use a pipette to blow it off the rock, but comes back pretty damn quickly.

Cyano! Add lots of flow to the affected areas. And you may be able to use this stuff...
