I am currently running 2 Hydor Koralia 1150gph powerheads simultaneously. I purchased a Hydor smart wave to create some random flow in the tank. I'm curious for those of you who have one of these how you split the time intervals between the two pumps.

Are you looking to actually make a wave or simply vary the flow direction? If you just want to change the flow once every 30 seconds has worked well for me. For an actual wave you need to experiment as every tank is different due to the rock configuration, but start in the 10 second range.

Thank you. I was starting to wonder if anyone uses any of these things
