I am installing the tunze 3155 ATO on my RS Max 250 and wanted to know if I needed to place an air stone in the reserve bucket?

Thanks for the help

The best way to answer this is with a question - how long will it take you to empty the reserve reservoir? If it's no more than a week, I would say no. I have a 10G tank I use as a reservoir that I fill to around 7G and that does me for 7 to 9 days depending on the temperature of the house.

BTW I believe you will love your 3155. I've had mine for just over 6 weeks and, after several years of manual top-offs, it's incredibly liberating.

No, RO/DI water can be stored indefinitely without heat or aeration.

Thanks everyone for the advice!

If my chiller is recommended for 200 - 300 gph, will it hurt it if I use the 3155 half speed to make sure the water goes down and back up (about 5 feet) and then still has enough flow entering the tank?
