Just wanted to start a thread with the real message... they apparently DO jump. And - at least in my case - pretty soon after being introduced in the tank.
I've got a rimless (hoodless), so I try to research ANY fish before I introduce it. And I did not see anyone talking about Tailspot Blennys jumping, so I assumed it was safe. Apparently not.
As extra info, it jumped from a small tank - 33g. And the other fish are a Pajama Cardinalfish, a Neon Goby, and an Orchid Dottyback. And yes, it would be easy to assome Dottyback aggression. But this thing is tiny - less than one inch long, and fairly new to the tank. The goby is bigger, much less the Cardinalfish. Bottom line - at present, it's the runt of the tank, and I've seen zero evidence of aggression so far. I'm sure that will change as it matures. Point is, I don't think the Orchid Dottyback was responsible for the Tailspot jumping. Instead I suspect that they are just jumpers, even if - from what I can tell - it's not mentioned that much.
