Hello,
I am planning to drill holes in my tank tonight. My question is this, the bulkheads I have fit into a 1 3/4" hole but have little to no extra space. Would I be better off drilling a 2" hole and allowing 1/8" all around the bulkhead?
Does it make a difference?

BRS lists the drill bit to use for the preferred bulkhead

You don't want extra space. The bulkhead is designed to use a 1 3/4" hole. You risk a leak with a bigger hole.

you want as little space between the bulkhead an hole as posible, this assures as much gasket contact and least shifting.
