Welcome to our new tank build

I thought I should share this tank with the world on Reef Central as its going to be BIG!!!

Tank is 10ft x 4ft x 2ft (LWH) made from Acrylic with 9ft sump. Approx 3500 litres inc sump.
We are building it into our customers lounge wall through to the garage to hide all equipment.
Their current marine tank is a modest 200 litre bow front baby that we are stripping down and using as a quarantine tank.
At Yorkshire reef we help with the design, installation and maintenance of the system for the customer.

Equipment list

4 x ATI Dimmable lighting units plus some blue aquaray strips for night time viewing on a controller
Tunze powerheads + controller
TMC titanium commercial heater
Deltec or Tunze skimmer
Deltec calcium reactor
Deltec carbon and phosphate reactors
2 x Deltec hlp pumps for reef flush
Aquavitro salt
Tunze osmolator
Minimum 250kg Fiji live rock
12 bags Caribsea fine white sand

We have also purchased 2 x 1000litre IBCs for auto topup and water change

Due to main tank being in the garage we are building a small room around it with heaters for the winter months

The tank arrives end of September so I will post up some pictures then

Attached image is of where tank will go in wall

Thanks for looking

Why only 3' high? Were there some constraints that determined the size?

Its 2ft high... Got a very good deal on the tank plus wanted it to be easy to get at for maintenance etc

Your tank is only 2 feet longer than mine but the width and height are the same. I like the 2 foot height for easier maintenance also. Good luck and can't wait to see this come together.
