My CUC is depleting and I just want to get some plain old snails. How many do you recommend for a 46g bowfront?

Why is your cuc depleting?
What kind of snails are you looking for? "Plain" doesn't really help unfortunately :p. Cerith? Astrea? Turbo? Nassarius? Trochus? Most people go with a mixture of these.

Go to reefcleaners.org, I have a 46G bowfront and just ordered about 150 assorted snails from them and they can custom build your order for your tank.

What are your parameters? What kind of problems are you dealing with? Algae on the glass can be dealt with a Mag Float. If your snails are dying due to starvation, this is actually a good thing.
