i've had this guy for several weeks. he comes out and scurries all over the tank when i feed the fish. i also give him (and my other stars) little pieces of shrimp or scallop. fascinating to watch them move it from their arms to their mouths and after they eat it, they get all puffed up, grab the remote, turn the t.v. on and use their big bellies for a shelf for their beer cans.

It looks like an albino version of the green brittle star, which is predatory on smaller fish.

the big guy has been in my 14g tank for a year. he lives with 2 snowflake clowns, a royal gramma, several hermits and lots of snails of various sizes. never a problem, at least not yet. he was the size of the other one when i got him. i do feed him raw shrimp or scallop almost ever day.

Better keep feeding then as the raw shrimp/scallop is whats keeping peace in the tank right now.

he's pretty funny at feeding time. i put fish food in, he comes out and climbs the glass as far as he can. he will wrap an arm around a power head and use his other arms to move the shrimp/scallop to his mouth. i have fed him some pretty big pieces. he gets all puffed up and then disappears for a nap. :)
