These were sold to me as purple hornets but I know better. I don't see the skirts and the seller said they are "maturing." Can you let me know what these are? Just some lame wannabe hornets maybe???

I believe the skirts are suppose to be alternating colors. As far as maturing....? the color got washed? Looks like a hornet morph to me

yeah i'm almost positive they aren't the legit purple hornets.

I knew the "maturing" theory was bs, thought it was funny though

They look more like blue hornets, but they should have a yellow ring and yellow skirt.

its def not any of the true hornets

still nice though but not expensive or considered true hornets:)

zoas morph from tank to tank and under various lighting or water conditions, its very possible these were hornets and have simply adjuted their color, they may color back up under your specific conditions...

this is why the names and prices associated with those names are mostly useless.
