Cycling Progress

Thought I would post some pics and an update for my cycling progress. Still not seeing any Nitrite but have about 40ppm Nitrate. Gonna check phosphates in a bit and I got a refractometer as suggested for more accurate salinity.

I went ahead and got my carbon reactor going for pure cheekiness. It was a gift from a buddy of mine who had extras so I did not need to make my DIY one. Still could if someone needed one.

So...what should my goal salinity be? Right now its at 1.023. Also, I am ghost feeding, should I add a raw shrimpy?

to cycle my tank ... it works!!! but i had o take it out.. its nasty!! if i ever do it again i will get a tiny raw shrimp.. jumbo shrimp are way too big and smelly lol.....:lol2:
