Need a little help- Removing coral from plastic plug

I bought this awesome deepwater acro at a frag swap this weekend. The only problem is it is mounted/growing onto one of those stupid plastic plugs. What would be the best way to remove it so I can mount it my rocks?

I had an ORA plug like that and use pliers to carefully squeeze the plug. The plug flexed just enough to break free of the glue and frag without snapping it, then it pulled right out.
