I've got a 55G fresh water tank with a Fluval 110 HOB. The problem that I'm having is that I keep loosing fish to the intake of the filter. :headwallblue: Would like to avoid killing my fish. Really not sure what to do.

I use a ac 70 and the intake is hosting my two clownfish... never had problems with it. what kind of fish are dying?

I would say fish are dying before they get stuck to the intake.

I have to agree with kyo as I have the 110 and not a single thing has gotten stuck. I have had hermits climb all over the intake and not get caught and even a shrimp.

Most recent victim was a female black Molly. I've lost a few new additions (died within 5 days of addition. Figure they were lost due to store trauma.) I do go months without a loss and the babies seems keep out of the intake...

Is there not a strainer on the intake?
If so the fish are dead before, the 110 doesn't have enough to suck a healthy fish into it
