I find nothing when I search for "Acorn Crab". I would like to add one, but like to research compatibility and feeding BEFORE adding anything (what a concept, huh?). Will bother, or be bothered by, other inhabitants? I have very little in the tank thus far, and trying to get an overall picture as I move forward.

I'm not familiar with the species. Do you mean arrow crabs? If so I would advise against it as they get fairly large (10") and will eat shrimp and any fish it can get ahold of.

Hermit crabs are sort of shaped like acorns...

I think you have the terminology wrong. Where did you get this term from?

"Arrow", yes. Searched on completely the wrong term. My bad....

I saw this thread under the "New to hobby" section as well. Arrow crabs are bistleworm hunters reaching a size of up to 10" as the OP said. Like all crabs they are oppertunistic and will catch smaller, sick, or sleeping fish when given the oppurtunity.
