Hello,

First let me give you my tank parameters:

100 gal tank with 29 gal sump
Nitrate 0 red sea test kit
Phosphate 0 red sea test kit
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Salinity 1.26
Cal 480 red sea test kit
Mg 1300 red sea test kit
Temp 79
ph 8.0
Skimmer
Carbon reactor
Refuguem with miracle mud and CHAETOMORPHA
UV that goes on during the day and off during the night
Ozone reactor that i do not turn on as my tank is not fully stocked yet
I have LED lights aqua illumination vega set @ 55%
Some sps coral some lps and sea fans that are doing great.
Tank is setup for 7 months now.

My anemone was doing great until a few days ago, picture attached. I fed it silverside fish twice in about 10 days. Only had it for about 2 weeks. Now it seems sick or dying.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Lower the salinity by .02 and pH is a little low

Is your silver side smelly? If it is, it could be the problem.

Salinity is a unit of how may part of salt per 1000 part of total solution. Usually it is at about 35 ppt.
Specific gravity of sea salt water is about 1.026 gm/ml. If you mean you salinity (actually SG) is 1.26 (actually mean 1.026) then it is not the problem.

That white-ish stuff looks like dead tissue or mesentery filaments poking though open wounds

let me tell you what started happening. A few days ago it seemed like the anemone tentacles started to stick together and that is what formed the white stuff. It seems like an infection of some sort.

IMO hermits are attracted to dead or dying anemones. I don't think you need to worry about the typical hermit crabs we have as part of our CUC attacking healthy nems.

I bought a new once that had been in lfs tank for a month within an hour a red leg tore a hole in it
