Hey guys,
Just got two tank bred peppermint shrimp, the LFS claimed that theirs are fed a specialized diet and generally will go after aiptasia.
I noticed two aiptasias in my refugium last night, which is odd as I've been aiptasia free since starting my tank ~6 months ago, The only thing that I've done in the past couple of weeks is add in chaeto algae to my fuge, so I'm thinking a molecule or two hitchhiked on the chaeto? Anyway, I bought two peppermints to throw in my fuge to rid it of the aiptasia before it spreads to my DT (if it does, I guess I'll get two more for my DT :p).
Just a quick question though; I have 4 hermits in my fuge as well, will the shrimps be OK with them? Should I occasionally put some extra food in the refugium for them so they don't starve? (The hermits will eat algae, the shrimps, I don't think will?)
