I have these weird markings on the inside of my glass that I stupidly didn't deal with before I put water in the tank. Before it was filled I tried a fresh razor blade and rub very light oil which I was told might work but it didn't. They aren't scratches and I can't see them from the inside. But they are an extreme eye soar and Im hoping someone can help!!

Sorry, its hard to get a good picture.

How old is the tank?

It looks similar to the hazing that acrylic gets, caused by stress on the panel most likely from the pressure of the water pushing out on the panels.

Not sure of the tank age. Its just to lines running vertical along the center of the front glass panel.

It looks like calcium precipitate that attaches to the fine glass scratches on the tank. How high do you keep your calcium?

It was there before I owned the tank

Very weird. Looks like major scratches from here.

I'm not talking about the scratches. I'm talking about the wierd markings that I can't seem to remove :/

Im no glassologist but I believe that to be a inherited flaw. I have seen that in some windshields and the only thing I can think of is while glass seems to be a solid, they also say it is a liquid (go figure) and that glass does move/melt/shift or whatever you call it. It has either molecular-ly sucked in and mixed with something that was previously in the tank or when they made the glass, they didnt have the mix uniform and it is molecular-ly shifting and bringing the flaw out.

New tank time!

Yes major flaw it seems. Looks like a waterfall of microbubbles. Sorry don't know what I'd do with that.
