I have a Melanarus Wrasse that's been in QT for 4 weeks now. Looking good, no signs of disease. Just started prazi treatment today and in 1 week want to start a 14 day prophylactic copper treatment.

Can the Melanarus handle it? He seems a very solid fish.

I've never had a problem using copper with any wrasse; and I keep them in copper 5-6 weeks. (Every fish I've kept for many years has gone through this regimen.) Just add Cu over several days and keep the dosage at .35-.40 or so---assuming you're using Cupramine. Always be sure fish is eating before adding CU, refusing food is the first sign of copper sensitivity.
