Has anybody ever seen an adult Atlantic blue tang that is not blue? There is one at my LFS that is pretty big so assuming an adult and he looks more like a kole tang with a yellow tail.

Some tangs are capable of changing colors as they age. Not sure exactly about that species perticularly but I know some tangs do.

Atlantic Bue tangs start off yellow. As they mature, they go through some strange patterns and most often it is the tail that changes last. They will also get a deeper blue color with age. Make sure it is eating lots of algae and woudl recommend that you enhance with garlic.

They go from yellow to blue. Like mentioned above though, the tail is usually the last one to change.
