Skimmer help

Just installed a hydor slim skimmer in my JBJ 30 gallon rimless tank. In order for it to fix in the first chamber I did not use any magnets. Everything is great, except it is loud! And it is vibrating my entire tank! Can I do something to quite it down?

try and place a piece of foam between the skimmer and the tank. should help with vibrations
