I'm setting up my first non-AIO tank. And I think it's kinda crazy, but thought I might need 3 ATOs?!?! (DT, QT, sw mixing bin)

- Do you use an ATO on your QT?
- Do you use an ATO on your saltwater mixing bin?

If you don't use an ATO on your QT or your mixing bin, how do you top off with RODI water?

I use a float valve on my mixing bin, once it's full and the float valves stops flow, I'll come back later and turn the RO/DI off so I can start mixing in salt.

For the QT, mine has always been smaller (10 gallon), and evaporates much less each day, so a once daily top off by hand has always been enough.

You also need an ATO bin, right? I use a float valve on that one too...

I don't use an ATO for my QT cause when I use to QT heavily, I would do quite a few water changes anyways cause there was no real way to remove nitrates in a system without a biological filter.

I mix my salt in giant blue barrels that can be sealed. This prevents a good amount if not most evaporation changing the salinity.

Your DT is probably your biggest concern only.
