Old "new" saltwater

So with my ongoing big tank upgrade changes. I ended up with fresh saltwater that I had made up that's sat in a brand new clean tank for a month or two. (40gallons)

Any reason this water couldn't be used for filling a new tank other than needing aeration etc.

Should be fine as long as nothing got into it (i.e. smell test).
