My lfs has a semi-Picasso that I have been eyeing for a couple weeks. He's the last of several that they had. He's happy, cute and a good price. I would also like to buy from this place as they have treated me real well while I have been getting my first tank up and running. However I'm not real keen on the lighter shade that he is.

So I'm wondering, will he get darker and more vibrant over time? Is the lighter color due to anything that could be a health concern later? He's been there about two weeks, has been playful the whole time and eats plenty.

I've noticed that ORA clowns seem to get more a yellow hue compared to the cousins raised at other companies. I could be mistaken, but I think diet during their development may play a role in this. Hope someone with more hands on experience raising clowns will chime in.

This clown isn't from Ora, that much I know. It's a bit more yellow in this pic then in real life but it might be cause I'm comparing it side by side to a true perc that's in the tank right next to it.
