I have a few acros that have aefw. If I set up a qt tank and put all frags in there but here's the big question. Could I have the tanks share a sump?
Dip all acros in qt tank weekley and have display acro free for 3 months and hopefully break the cycle.
Sound good or bad?
Qt tank will be bare bottom only acro's in there.

I would have to ask, how is this any different than just dipping the corals and placing them back in your main display? I would not have any shared water but that's just me. These pests can travel and I would not risk it. Just my .02

+1 However... If you ran a NEW and oversized UV going from the acro tank back to the sump. That might work. If UV can kill them. I have no idea.

I've read of some people using a micron filter sock on the return from the QT tank. I would make sure that part of the sock is airborne. I havent tried it myself, i used a solitary qt tank but it makes pretty good sense that it would work.

I'm thinking less stress on the coral and cheaper not to run a seperate tank.

How bought uv to the qt tank? Might work better. Aefw leaving the qt wouldn't be an issue.
