Hey all,

A friend of mine just saw this deal on 1sale and I just bought one of these for myself. (Tank is still cycling, but I might as well get the camera ready for action once the reef grows up!)

$499 is pretty awesome for a 18mp DSLR with a lens.

This (http://www.amazon.com/Understanding-Exposure-3rd-Edition-Photographs/dp/0817439390) will help. The stickys will help also. I have no idea what experience you have. You'll most likely want a macro lens to take tank pics.

I took photography in high school and kept it up on my own through college. Then phones became cameras and we all became morons... so it's been a while. I mostly probably just need a tip on adjusting my white balance to compensate for blue actinics. Didn't see much in the stickies, but at second glance I did spot these helpful links from http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=333197 :

thanks man, will browse through those / bookmark accordingly. I had a macro lens on an old nikon of mine and loved it.
