Hi All...

I'm from Indonesia, and want to share my tank build. Maintank is a custom build 110G. This is my first post to Reef central tank build thread.

My Maintank is 4,9 X 1,65 X 1,65 ft, and with sump 3,9 X 1,3 X 1,3 ft. For this build I use ATI powermodule 6X 39W for lighting and Bubble magus C7 for skimmer. Apex Neptune for control lighting and all equipment.

Start with rockscapping...

And this was taken after fill with RO water mix with Red sea saltmix.

And after 1 month cycling..
http://i1329.photobucket.com/albums/w543/Deaquatic/IMG_4226_zps4ee97988.jpg

I got problem with algae blooming last month, and it was very strange. Algae blooming only when light go off. In the morning I can't see inside, but after lights on for 3-4 hours the water become more clear. I change water almost 75%. Anyone know what wrongs ?

Thanks

You're tank is not even mature yet so your algae problem is part of the cycle. It will eventually go away.

You do have a nice tank for it to be so young. Are you doing ZeoVit?

I think so, this tank not mature yet. But that algae problem making me courious, I asking all my friends and they didn't know about non photosynthetic algae. After do waterchange almost 75% and I got good result, water become clearer.

I didn't use Zeo system, now I run with Red Sea reef care programe.

I do weekly 5% waterchange with red sea coral pro saltmix. I just use skimmer and liverock for filtration. Will post for my sump soon. And thanks for your reply..

Hi there!

Great aquascaping!
Do you join the rocks only with zipties or any kind of cement or epoxy?

Do you have any photos of the process?

Yeah, me too.. But I can't use all liverock because of they covered with algae, try to used some of old liverock in my first try and they're comeback. So I need to replace them all.
