Where is the best place to buy Nori in bulk?

My new Blonde Naso is breaking the bank! The thing is a Nori Eating Machine! I can't keep buying it in my LFS too much longer...

Thanks
Higor

Asian market, if there is not one close by a supermarket.

Ebay is also a good place, make sure you search for Nori to make Sushi/Food. Nori marketed for aquarium used is the same and overpriced.

Is it the same Nori as the ones sold for Reef tanks? Is it a lot cheaper usualy?

Thanks

Yes, as long as is 100% seaweed without additives or flavoring it is the same and a lot cheaper.

Some consider dried better than roasted, so you could look for that. But roasted is good too as long as it doesn't have additives.

Yep I go to the Asian market and pick up large bags of it for just a couple of dollars.

I've found it at a Wal-Mart supercenter before, it was very cheap. But food selection varies store to store due to the local community, so that may have been a factor but it's worth a try.

I can't read the Japanese writing on the nori from my Asian supermarket, but it sure tastes good.

Just make sure it's not oiled and salted. You'll find that prices are way cheaper too!

I don't buy it in bulk because my fish always seemed to love it fresh... nobody likes stale chips and it seems its harder to rip off once the package has been opened.

This is what I get, they sell it at krogers.

BTW: A sheet of nori like this is = 4-6 sheets of the aquarium stuff.

Thanks guys... We have an Asian super market around me (I think it's Super 88 out something like that). I will check it out today or tomorrow and see how much they have it for. If not, I will look into those links. :)

If you are asking, yes and no. Roasted is fine but that sellers don't give any description so I can't see if anything else was added. If you are searching ebay search for dried nori, as mentioned above some believe the nutritional value of dried nori is better than roasted
