yes when it comes to heat I had same issue and i pushed the diode down with thump and make sure that it touches the start base. if you push this down this should work....

do not be so picky, it will work fine.
Nobody will use microscope to evaluate the quality of your LED fixture.

I was just wondering if it was ok or a problem, i've ordered some before off a different supplier (not going to name the companies but they are both the ones that alot of people use on this website) the leds were flawless, the ones i got today like a said some of the leds weren't mounted very well, excess solder (not sure if thats a problem?), some have solder smudges on the star and the way they were packed for shipping was terrible, i had a load of drivers off them too which are heavy and the leds were just thrown into the box with the drivers not even bubble wrapped just in a plastic sleeve so the drivers were probably bashing into them in shipping. not tested the leds yet

Depends on which LED package..
Does it have an isolated thermal pad? or just the anode/cathode pads?

It "will/could" effect lifespan.. by how much is impossible to tell.

test them,
basically nothing should happened to them but the way seller packed them shows the way how he respect buyers.
