New skimmer help.

Ive haf a seaclone 200 for about 7 weeks now and now it quitequite skimming. Its alnost like the powerhead isnt chopping up the bubbles that go through it. Onstead of produving micro bubbles in getting very large bubbles no matter the flow rate.

So it never worked , or did work but now isn't , I cant understand ?

Yes it worked for 6 weeks and produced foam and alot of micro bubbles in the actual skimmer reaction tube,but now no matter what kinda air flow except for all the way closed I get rather large bubble .ive cleaned it, took it apart and cleaned multiple times . Im definately getting a new skimmer just need to wait a little while first.

And not foam is collected. The only thing that ive done differently is move it to my sump. Ive tried both the j hook and the in sump option. Both work the sane though

I had the same problem when I did the same thing. I elevated the skimmer and that worked. Raise it or lower if you can and see what happens.

You mean to rasie the actualy height the skimmer sits in my sump

It was actually doing same thing with the j hook just previous to putting it in the sump. Its almost like my propellor isnt chopping up the oxygen bubbles correctly or something is up with the flow of air into the propellor ive tried multiple different valves and even hooked it up to a pump with a valve between them
