hello,

i have a 29 gal cube that is currently cycling. i would like to upgrade the lights before it finishes and i start adding some corals.

it came with a couple marineland led's one of which was a "coral growing" light. it also came with a dual t5 fixture. i thought about going with the larger led and the t5, but was hoping to go to all led's to avoid the excess heat.

so, i am seriously considering either the nova a4, or the photon 16 by reefbreeders. the 16 would be a little larger than needed. i was thinking that i could dim the lights, and possibly use it on a larger tank down the road.

i am open to other suggestions. i am looking for something that would grown any type of corals, dimmable, and have a controller to program timing cycles.

thoughts, ideas, or feedback?

thanks!

There are a lot of good reviews on the reef breeders out there, you would have to dim them as you suggested, but they would be more than enough to grow anything, and be very easy to utilize on any future tank upgrades as well.
