Long story short... I will be moving in the next few months and upgrading my 15g cube to at LEAST a 55g. I plan on keeping a dwarf fuzzy lion and snowflake moray. If I got both as juveniles...theoretically...how long until they got too large to live HAPPILY in the 15g. Not successfully, I want to make sure they don't feel too cramped. I'm not one of those that asks a question and then does it anyways. I want to know honest opinions on wether or not their quality of life will be sufficient. I have no problem waiting until I upgrade if the majority consensus agrees to wait. The reason I'm thinking of doing it now is because I have a LFS who may be getting some in this coming week as juvies. I have no experience with either of these fish, (research was done, lots of it) hence the questioning.

It would help to get an honest measurement of the fishes in question and the tank dimensions to really answer your question, unless you want a "not very long" response. Obviously, robust filtration of some type would help a lot.

To be honest, unless your fishes are the tiniest of juvies, the tank is already overstocked. We're big fans of using growout tanks, ESPECIALLY for juvie preds, but there's a time to move up, for sure.

I'm guessing that since you have the SFE, that the tank is well-covered, as lionfishes can also jump...and do it quite often, acutally.

I have to say, I don't really think a 55 is big enough to house this fish for its whole life. So I would say wait until you can upgrade, and think about a bigger tank that would fit the space available.

Also, unless something has changed, juvie snowflakes aren't that hard to come by. So I wouldn't be prompted by availability to rush into this purchase.

I agree with Robin...I missed that you didn't have the fishes yet. That being said, if you get a small fuzzy, it's a LOT easier to get them eating and weaned if they're in a smaller tank with no other tankmates, so you might consider that.

That is true, weaning will be much easier if there isn't an eel in the mix trying to steal food. I think I'll grab the fuzzy and wait until he's eating frozen foods before the snowflake. Thanks for the advice yall.
