I think you're right, a green haddoni.

I have yet to see a true yellow haddoni or gigantea. Since the nem is under heavy actinic lighting it will glow yellow, especially when bleached. I agree that it will most likely be green, but to what extent is unknown. It could be anywhere from kelly green to neon highlighter green.

Also, I see what appears to be dead zoox pellets. If it's your nem I suggest that you consider getting a QT tank ready just in case.

some guy on local craigslist is selling it, i want to get it to rescue it but the guy is such an ignorant he insisted it is a bright neon yellow, but whatever, someone else might end up with it, i just hope it's some experienced reefer and not some beginers. if i want it i will pay $70 plus drive an hour but like i said someone else is available to pick it up sooner so.......

these pics were sent to me today after he removed it for the potential buy...... pics taken with flash

I feel your pain. Unfortunately, it's hard to educate people who don't want to listen, especially when what we're trying to tell them is seen as "bad news." It's also unfortunate that a living creature may not end up in the most capable hands, specifically due to it being sold as a commodity.

Keeping with that mindset, a $70 investment is a crap shoot. As I said, we don't know the true color. I've seen basic green haddoni sold for $30, but neon green ones for $150+.

Sometimes we have to just let things go. I had a LFS with a blue gigantea that didn't want to treat it. It ended up dying. It's tough to hear about these things happening, but the reality is that it's still a business and I can't tell them how to run their business. Same goes with sales on Craigslist.

Thanks for the Friday chuckle.

The closest I've seen to yellow were the carpets that GRS brought in -- they had both a yellow haddoni and gigantea, and had tennis balls floating in the tank for color comparison. However, I still think they were green. I'll see if I can dig up some photos.

Ah, here they are. The problem is that the photos are super-saturated and if you look at the verrucae peeking through in photo 3, they are pink. And that just doesn't happen with gigantea. Throughout the oral disk and particularly near the mouth, we see a lot of artifacts and noise. Therefore, I still say it's green -- I wish the owner of the nem would prove me wrong though.
