I'm tired of having an ugly 5 gallon jug sitting next to my tank. Any ideas for a more attractive container?

Get a 32 gallon brute container (make sure it is food grade, it says it under the lid).
You can get them from home depot.

Get some acrylic, make yourself a container and place it inside something like:

When my tank stand does not allow room for a reservoir I have built end tables to hide them. There are reservoirs made to be viewed that look okay, but to me I prefer to build a cabinet.

Cabinet on the left held the reservoir.

Great ideas! I think I'll scour the thrift stores for a cool cabinet. It would have to fit a jug though... Me and DIY don't get along. I practically have to hire a contractor to open a bar of soap :)

Get 32 gallon Brute and place a round glass table top (or anything else round and waterproof) on it. Cover it with a decorative fabric round end table cover from Walmart. Bam!... an end table that holds 30 gallons of RO/DI. I put a bulkhead near the bottom of mine with a 1/4" tubing QD. It's plumbed to a dosing pump and serves as my ATO.

Not a bad idea! Brute-based furniture.
